Orbitail Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 27, 2026
This policy explains what information Orbitail ("the App", "we", "us") collects, why, and how it is used. Orbitail is an arcade game with optional live and asynchronous multiplayer features, Game Center, optional rewarded advertising, purchases, analytics, and an optional weather-based visual effect. We do not require your name, email address, or a Naniba Studios login, and we do not sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
Local game progress
Scores, achievements, ship colors, Daily streaks, settings, locally saved Rival Orbit challenges, and purchase unlocks are stored on your device. Deleting the app, or using the app's reset control where available, removes local game data.
Firebase multiplayer and social data
When Orbitail's online features are available, the App automatically creates an anonymous Firebase user identifier. It does not require an email address, password, or public real-world identity. We use Firebase Authentication, Realtime Database, and Cloud Firestore to provide Online Duel, Recent Rivals, player callsigns, match history, presence/disconnect handling, friend rooms, and Rival Orbit invitation links.
Multiplayer data may include the anonymous Firebase identifier, automatically generated callsign, match or room identifiers, ready/connection state, course seed, score, elapsed time, ring/phase and movement state needed for live synchronization, match result, recent-rival statistics, and challenge data needed to reproduce a Rival Orbit ghost course. Rival Orbit invitation records use an opaque random invitation identifier and expire after 30 days.
Analytics
We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics provider, to understand how the game is used in aggregate and improve gameplay, retention, and reliability. TelemetryDeck does not use cookies or advertising identifiers for this analytics service and receives an anonymized per-install identifier, app/device metadata, and events such as app launches, sessions, run starts/completions, score ranges, mode use, achievements, streaks, feature interactions, and technical reliability events.
Advertising
Google AdMob may provide optional rewarded advertising. Depending on consent and Apple's tracking permission, Google may process an advertising identifier, approximate location inferred from an IP address, ad views and interactions, device information, and diagnostic information. Non-personalized ads may still use limited contextual and technical information. This is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Campaign measurement
Meta App Events may be used for campaign attribution and to measure app opens and selected gameplay events. Automatic event logging is disabled. Advertising-identifier collection and cross-app tracking are enabled only when Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission allows them. Meta processes information under Meta's Privacy Policy.
Purchases
StoreKit processes Skip Ad and Remove Ads purchases. Naniba Studios does not receive payment-card details. We receive only the product and transaction confirmation needed to unlock the purchased feature.
Game Center
Game Center processes player authentication, leaderboard scores, achievements, and aliases under Apple's privacy practices. We send only the score, achievement, leaderboard, or feature-related information needed to provide the feature.
Location
If a weather-based visual effect is enabled and you grant permission, Orbitail may obtain your current latitude and longitude and send them to Open-Meteo to request current weather. High-accuracy location is not required. Naniba Studios does not store those coordinates in the Firebase player profile. Open-Meteo necessarily receives the coordinates and network information needed to answer the request. You can deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings without affecting normal gameplay.
How Multiplayer Data Is Used
Realtime Database is used for time-sensitive multiplayer state such as matchmaking, friend rooms, server-time countdowns, live player state, presence, rematch handshakes, and disconnect verification. Cloud Firestore is used for durable social information such as anonymous player profiles, completed duel history, Recent Rivals, and challenge invitations. Rival Orbit invitation links contain only an opaque invitation identifier; the actual ghost/course payload is resolved by the authenticated App.
Children's Privacy
Orbitail is not directed at children under 13, or the relevant age of digital consent in their region, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain uses of information. Local game data can be removed using the app's reset control where available or by deleting the app. Because online multiplayer uses an anonymous Firebase identity, deleting the app does not necessarily remove server-side multiplayer records immediately. You may contact us to request deletion of data associated with your anonymous Orbitail identifier; we may ask for information from the App that lets us verify the correct anonymous record.
Data Retention
Local game data persists until you reset it or delete the app. Rival Orbit invitation records expire after 30 days. Anonymous player profiles, match history, recent-rival statistics, and operational multiplayer records may persist while needed to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service, or until removed through maintenance or a verified deletion request. Analytics, advertising, attribution, purchase, and Game Center information is retained by the applicable provider under its own policy.
